Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

Truer words have never been spoken. My mom always used to say "if its not yours, don't touch it." She actually gave a whole talk on the topic for a single's ward chastity fireside. See, phrases like that can be applied in every situation from 3 year olds fighting over things to some lady getting too close at a grocery store. I think you should stitch Sam's quote on a pillow.
ReplyDeleteI want to come over again so Sebby can sing me another song while holding on to my shoulders from behind me and looking into my face. I still can't believe he's only 2!
