It turns out Ziggy's one of those bowling-ball-finger-suckers (his own head, in this analogy, being the bowling ball). I love it so much. Sometimes he stuffs more fingers in, though, greedily. Once Seb said plaintively from the back seat of the van, "Help! Ziggy has three hands in his mouth!" One of the hands was Seb's, which Zig had cleverly helped himself to.
Teddy built a "little house" for baby Ziggy and it was so cute, though a tiny bit sad to see Ziggy all helplessly penned in like that. Then everyone else started building houses for him too, and he decided he rather liked it.
Our birthday week festivities (mine, Teddy's, and Sam's) were happy, in spite of a bit of sickness woven in throughout. Teddy loved seeing that there was a BACKHOE outside the church (and couldnt even tear his eyes away while Sam took a picture). He requested "green pie!" for his birthday, which I willfully interpreted as Key Lime, and it was delicious. And I had what I always dream of, which is a day nice enough for a picnic on my birthday (or thereabouts). We shared frozen custard and were all happy (if just sliiiiightly shivery) by the end of it.
For Christmas Seb made these amazing stuffed animals for me, Marigold, and Junie. (I especially like the long noodle-y trunk on the elephant! And I wish you could see my bunny's fluffy white cottontail!) We had recently made some bears, so he had an idea of how to go about it, but he did this completely on his own with no help from me—design, cutting, sewing, and stuffing. I was so surprised to see them emerge from their wrapping paper on Christmas Day! And I think they are so darling!
More magnatile creations (they get more and more elaborate—see Teddy looking out of his castle window! Sebby built that around him). And Ziggy is not really crawling, but sometimes he gets up on his knees like this!
Oh! Those stuffed animals are darling! What a clever boy you have to create such delight!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree--it is both sad and funny to see your Ziggy stuck in those pens. :)
Happy birthday to you!!!

ReplyDeleteI love those fingers and extra hands all stuffed in Ziggy’s mouth!
