The little pumpkin patch we liked to go to in years past had a homeschool discount day! That was happy news because it's lately gotten too expensive for us to go…at least not all of us. But we could manage a discounted weekday morning (if we skipped ballet) so we packed up and went!
Clementine on the Little Girl Walk
Or is it a Little Boy Walk?
We got to pick an apple on our way out to the pumpkin patch. This little poppet was pleased.
The corn pit was fun as always. Fun and corny.
We had it to ourselves for a little while, which was nice
Being some sort of forklift. Or crane?
An even more enthusiastic forklift
They had a petting zoo this year. Clementine loved every single animal.
Nice smile, Clem
These were the only two little pumpkins I could catch for pictures
For all the good it did
Clementine walked around the entire field saying "HEBBY, HEBBY" in a raspy, burdened voice as she tried to lift each pumpkin.
SO arduous! Poor dear.
Then she followed Gus around like a little lamb
Clementine ran WILD on this bouncy pad. It was terrifying. I was so afraid she would fall off the edge! But she was too fast for me to follow her around! She was not careful in the least. I kept yelling ineffectually "stay in the middle!"
She was so pleased with herself, though!
She liked going down with her sisters.
But then she got brave enough to just go on her own.
It was hilarious how once she got to the bottom, she would just pick up her bag in a businesslike manner and go running with it up the stairs again. She went down the slide OVER and OVER and OVER.
Zig was just baaaaarely brave enough for the high slide. He would get up there, wait with great apprehension (having to be gently helped to the back of the line when he got too excited), and then slide down screaming all the way! And then he'd do it all over again!
His facial expressions were so great!

Fun day at the farm! Oddly, it made me miss all my little munchkins…even though I still have a bunch of them. I guess it just makes me think about how fast they become big. I wish I could bottle days like this and get them out again whenever I wanted.
Below your post is a selection of "If you liked this post" recommendations. The first one in the list is from 2011 with a picture of your Daisy at the same age Clementine is now (at least they look the same). With the exception of Daisy's hair being lighter, it could be the same toddler. It's so very sweet.
ReplyDeleteEach of the babies that I birthed were very distinct as babies. I don't mix up their pictures at all. However, the girls are more and more alike as they grow up, and they are frequently mistaken for one another. Even I am likely to be confused if I can't see their faces in the moment.
