Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

Is this also RB gardens? Are these the same beds that had all the spring bulbs and flowers? How do they do that? A perennial (!) question of mine at gardens: how do they plan/make beds to look good nearly the whole year without using _just_ annuals? Love the house like structure--really fun for kids.
ReplyDeleteHow do you have the energy to do stuff like this with your family?! Seriously. Please advise.
ReplyDeleteAllison: Yes, RB gardens. And I know---I want to know how to make a flower bed look good all year too! I don't know how much pulling out/planting they do during the year, but many things look like perennials. I'll send you a picture of the same garden, different seasons---it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteChels: It helps us, in this case, that we have a membership, so we can go (and leave!) when we please. No obligation to stay there for hours and hours if people are cranky. :)
