Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

you know it kinda depends, but if you're making it up and it is a major stretch and super dumb then save yourself and your friends and just give up.
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I skip them. I've never seen one really worth while--although I'm leaving the possibility that one might exist. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI think they make it worse. Much worse. But then, I don't bother to buy gift tags--I just write on the package with a Sharpie. I bring a touch of class to all kinds of events :)
ReplyDeleteI think any value of a rhyming verse is completely offset by the the precious moments kid. eww. those things look like they need growth hormones and antidepressants.
