Today I told the boys we could go to the "swimming pool." (This was my bathtub.) I let them splash lots more than usual, and bring their water noodles. We all got very wet.
It was a good thing to do on a cold day.
Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

That looks like so much fun! I also plunked my kid in the tub and let her swim for a while, but my tub isn't as cool as yours. And I wasn't trying to give her a vacation--I needed to wash off all the red Jell-O before she stained something. Apparently I shouldn't leave Sophie unattended with jigglers as she molded them into "popcorn balls".
