Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

My mom used to give us a dime for every ladybug we could catch for her rosebushes. I've heard it's hard to get them to stick around. Hopefully, a few decided to set up camp in your garden. What a great time.
ReplyDeleteCan you have your neighborhood association talk to my neighborhood association, because I think that could really benefit the Harbor Park, as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
