July 4th

I got to celebrate both Canada Day (in Canada) and the Fourth of July (in the U.S.) this year, so that was fun! We had a good day with cousins, swimming, and a bubble machine!
I got to visit with friends from a previous Young Women's Presidency (fourteen years ago now!) and catch up on all the good things and hard things in each others' lives. I'm so grateful for the church callings that lead to such lasting friendships!
Some of the kids stayed overnight at my mom's house so they could go see the hot air balloons in the morning. They didn't go up (seems like they never go up; there are always winds) but the kids had fun anyway! Junie did Clementine's hair in these two cute little bubble braids, and Clementine was so proud! "I look so pretty," she kept saying.
We went swimming at Provo Rec Center like we always do. So fun!
Katy's Josh brought his bubble machine (he does "Bubble Parties" for preschoolers; isn't that cute?) and the kids had fun running in the bubbles!
"Baby Jacob" (as we still call him, though he has a baby sister now!) sat at the little table with my littles! This generational shift still feels strange to me. How can it be that my kids aren't the littlest anymore??
The kids played some milk-jug beanbag toss
These two little friends were so cute watching fireworks! Reminds me of little Malachi and Daisy.

Hooray for America!
