The family a couple days before Daisy was born. (Who is that poor woman in the middle? She looks exhausted.)

Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

I still think of the tired woman as a girl. Did you know Joel of the present Joel and Beth? He was in band, too, right? He was just made a high councilman. I think I like my little cloud of confusion, remembering you guys so young. We just watched you doing Tarzan with Nick and the boys - we should get that video to you. Amazing. Amazing that life has gone by so fast, and now you are mother of four. I am - I don't know. Maybe flabbergasted.
ReplyDeleteLoved the bear suit. You go, girl.
Who is the friend who made the superhero costumes and can I pay her to make my kids' Halloween costumes? Seriously.
ReplyDeleteJoel is a high councilman? Ha ha! Don't get me wrong--he's a great guy but apparently the church would like to age him prematurely.
You and your family are some of my very favorite people. Thanks for sharing the pics.
