Lightning, Conference, Fall days rushing by

I posted about Ziggy's baptism but not the birthday that preceded it! I think it was a happy day for him. It's great to be eight, after all!
Gus drew this ADORABLE birthday card of Ziggy with a dog
And Teddy generously (?) allowed Ziggy to read his copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Zig had been looking forward to this for weeks).
His own scriptures and a purple water bottle

So cute and Fall-y!

Whenever the girls have to wait for me anywhere, they make rock stacks. I suppose I could call them "cairns" but they don't mark the way to anything, so it doesn't seem quite right. Either way, some are rather impressive, I must say.
Like this one with 8 rocks (Junie's accomplishment)

Bunnies, each with a bat to be his or her stuffed animal (and don't forget Bee)
Do you think you know what this is? It is not a truck transporting a plane. It's a truck transporting a blue whale!

Some records of the pretty fall weather:
Enjoying the sunshine at a fun playground
With pizza! Did you know there is Book-it!™for homeschoolers? It was the biggest bother I've ever experienced to prove I was, in fact, a homeschool teacher and my kids were Properly Enrolled According to State Law—I've had an easier time getting a child a new birth certificate than I had filling out the Book-it!™ enrollment forms; heaven forbid we obtain a Personal Pan Pizza™under false pretenses—but behold the joyous results. I always did love these tiny little pizzas when I was younger!
Pretty evening sky over the hill
Clementine "pumping"
Cloud lightning
Ziggy walking through a hailstorm (going "Ow! ow! ow! ow! ow!" the whole way)
Sun after the storm
Another lightning storm (we had two or three in late September/early October and they were beautiful!)

Daisy and I were at the yarn store (well, Michael's, to be precise) and saw this beautiful yellow yarn. I knew I must have a blanket made out of it, and Daisy obligingly just…made me one! It is SO pretty and I love it! She's making a pink one for herself now, and she's thinking about trying to sell some before Christmas. I think people might buy them, don't you?
It's just right for putting on your lap when you want something over your feet but don't want to be too hot. I find myself in that situation rather often!

Thanks to Goldie persistently making new flavors for the several days before Conference, we had all homemade ice cream for our Post-Saturday-Evening-Session Banana Splits! And very good it was!
Conference was great as always. It was surprisingly easy to listen this year (most of the time…there were still a few arguments to break up every now and then) because the little ones mostly just colored quietly! How odd that we are moving into that stage now. Clementine did insist on proudly showing us every single thing she did!

Gus's very cute witch
Cute little bed Clementine made for some bunnies…and when you look closer…
…you see these little game-piece bunnies have their own beds to match!
And a gnome in his own little bed, too!
