Red Barn 2025

The Red Barn had "Homeschool Day" again, so we found a way to fit it in! The big girls are good sports to put up with what is more of a "little-kid" activity—though I think they still like the slides and the corn pit! And they like the apple cider donuts, as every right-thinking person does.
One fun thing about having the kids be a little older is that I'm not constantly looking after a toddler. Clementine and Gus ran happily off to play with older siblings, and I had a good long time following Ziggy around and talking to him. I like him.
Clementine really went to town on this jumping pad. She was so funny! She did actually manage to get off the ground at times!

Sillies. They should be glad I'm not posting their most silly picture!
Zig was too nervous for this zipline last year, I think, but this year he loved it!
Pumpkin girl
For some reason the workers were only allowing people to use this apple cannon one time, and it was the great disappointment of Ziggy's life. He really wanted to do it again! (And it wasn't at all crowded, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't let him!)
Corn mazes…aren't really that fun. Are they? I am always somewhat underwhelmed. We dutifully walked through a little bit of this one, though.
Clementine was whimpering and refusing to look at the camera, and we didn't know why.
If you look closely above Junie's foot, you can see why!
Poor lamb! She dropped her donut! Don't worry, we got it back for her when we realized.
Muted colors, but still pretty!
It was such a beautiful day, we went to Salem Pond and had a picnic on the way home. We really did have the nicest October! I love Fall days like this one!
Hunting for fish
I like how Daisy's sunglasses are reflecting the leaves here.
