You can make a font out of your handwriting. (It's free!) Then you can type with it. It's not perfect, but it looks pretty good, right?
Here is where you can try it for yourself.
Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

This is so awesome. I can't wait to try it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so cool! I saw that site yesterday too and I'm totally going to do it. My mom actually made a font for me in high school and it took her hours and hours. It's awesome. Amazing how much progress technology makes in just a few years, huh?
ReplyDelete(Not that it hasn't been TEN years since high school, yikes!!)
AMAZing! It looks just like your writing--the "M" for sure on your name, now you just need a way to get a bunny face on there. Happy birthday Bunny!
ReplyDeleteHow many times can I say this before I sound sheltered, hermitish and pathetic: your blog makes my day. Post for no other reason than to lift my spirits, you!
ReplyDeleteI hope Arizona is hot and dreamy, you sexybease!
Oh, and your handwriting looks _almost_ like your handwriting. It's like how it would look like if zombies invaded your body and were only able to reproduce your handwriting without the imperfections of a real hand-written note....okay, now I'm starting to FREAK OUT!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!
And even MORE FREAKY IS THAT THE WORD VERIFICATION THAT I HAD TO TYPE WAS 'UNDEARD' (close to the word 'undead') and I AM NOT KIDDING.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh!
This is just another reason for me to wish for a scanner for Christmas. *sigh* It looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteAlmost as entertaining were the 10 minutes I spent looking at the comments on the website:
“I have a lot of fun!! And, of course, is really useful for design really cool compositions :)”

“Great utility now can you do something about my shoddy handwriting?”

“Now I can put my sloppy handwriting everywhere! ”

“This was the only free font maker I could find. Thank you so much for saving me x number of dollars on making my own...”

I think _you_ could leave some much more valuable praise on the website than that. :)
OH MY GOSH! Do you know how many hours working with Fontographer it took me to do my font - and Gin's and her dad's? This blows me away. Holy cats. Now I want to redo mine because something went wrong with it - and here you are, giving me the tool. I KNEW I liked you. How cool is this? Now I've got to go get a permanent fine tip marker.
