There are some great tide pools at Hug Point, and even though the tide wasn't super low when we went, it was low enough to see a lot of cool animals! (Last time we were there we saw a bunny! Although not, it must be admitted, in the tide pools. Either way, no such luck this time. But Gus does look a little like Ky in this picture!)
I love the little waterfall at this beach

The girls, although not actually dressed for the beach, couldn't help getting in the water anyway.
Sea Caves
Sam vainly trying to get Clementine to hold his hand so she won't fall off the slippery rocks into the water

A finger (perhaps Judgement's Pointing Finger?) pointing out anemones
Billions of Barnacles (or is it Millions of Mussels? I get barnacles and mussels mixed up). Maybe there are both.
Teddy, having been overtaken by a wave or two (the tide was coming in at this point)
Malachi!
Crabs in cracks (they are so well-disguised!)
Girls (and Teddy) heeding the siren song of the sea
Heeding the even-more-siren song of silliness
And to finish off, here is Hug Point and that stretch of coast through Sebastian's artistic eye. I love how different he makes his pictures feel, and how good he is at capturing moments and moods.
Such amazing textures here
And he found one of those red and green crabs I tried so hard to photograph but couldn't!
Somehow, through no particular goodness or merit of my own, I have been able to visit warm beaches in Puerto Rico. They are amazing and beautiful. I would go again if I could. BUT, there is still something about these rocky, misty, mysterious Oregon beaches that is so compelling to me. I love them! And when I'm in Oregon, I feel like I'd be happy to never go anywhere else!
So many great pictures!
