If you want to see something besides butterflies (and cute people, of course) in this post, you're out of luck! We visited the Butterfly Garden for a Field Trip Day and for some reason the butterflies seemed extra receptive to being held, so all the kids wanted pictures with their butterfly friends. And Daisy got to go with us because her school hadn't started yet! Reason enough to take a few pictures, I say.
Two thoughtful (or squinty) butterfly girls
A couple years ago when we were here and a butterfly landed on her, Clementine burst into tears! She has warmed up to them since then. :)

Gus imparting some of his wisdom to Clementine, no doubt
Junie made such friends with this butterfly. She named her "Stainey" (because she looked like a stained glass window) and she actually stayed contentedly on Junie's finger for the entire 25 minutes we were there. Junie talked to her and introduced her to everyone else's butterflies. We could tell she appreciated it.
Not to be outdone, Gus named his butterfly "Spotty." (Have you noticed that once you name something you suddenly love it more? We knew these butterflies for less than an hour, but we felt sad to say goodbye by the end!)
Daisy decided her butterfly was "Flora."

…and having a little conversation.
Teddy had two at once!

All the butterflies having a meeting (or was it a party?)
One for everyone!

Another friend for Stainey, before we had to say goodbye. I think Stainey actually loved Junie, and Junie certainly loved her! (Why does the lamb love Mary so?/Because she loves the lamb, you know!)
