Children's voices in the orchard
Between the blossom- and the fruit-time:
Golden head, crimson head,
Between the green tip and the root.
Black wing, brown wing, hover over;
Twenty years and the spring is over;
To-day grieves, to-morrow grieves,
Cover me over, light-in-leaves;
Golden head, black wing,
Cling, swing,
Spring, sing,
Swing up into the apple-tree.

Great Value!? sick. I only use Williams & Sonoma chocolate chips. They're a luxury I can afford.
ReplyDeleteI can't even afford chocolate chips so you both gots me beat. hey beth, got any extrees?
ReplyDeleteI just made some cookies with a recipe that incorporated a similar injunction. It always feels a bit condescending--like I'm being told, "Well, if you don't use all these fancy ingredients, it's not my fault if these cookies a total disaster."
ReplyDeleteYes! Exactly. And they expect (with your low-quality track record) that they WILL be a disaster.
